What does a Bengalcat breeder mean when he tells that his kitten are in the fuzzystage?
A Bengalcat lives through different stages of growth. You can realise these stages at the quality of the fur.
Mostly the kitten get born with a fur where you can see the pattern very well. But this can change very fast.
At the age of four to six weeks the kitten get fuzzy. It's the experience we made with our kitten. These statements
are not hard-and-fast and can be different and also depend on blood lines. At this age the hairs of the fur are very
long, grey and mostly stick out. This is why you can't see the pattern very well, fuzzy. You can also notice this phenomena by
the cubs of cheetahs and other wild cats. This is a need for camouflage in the wilderness.
If you will know how the color of a kitten get if it is grown, look at the backs of the ears and the front paws from the kitten. That body parts show the color first.
If, at this time those areas show a lot of color, that will indicate what color the adult cat will become.
Eleven weeks after birth, sometimes later, the fur changes.
The kitten will get prettier every day. The hairs get shorter and don't stick out any more. The contrast gets better. This takes
some time and at the age of six to nine months the ugly duckling has changed to a pretty swan.
